Artist Bio

"All of my artwork is inspired by the things I see and experience from day to day living in Western Pennsylvania.  When I see something that sparks my interest, I use a camera to collect visual information, potentially leading to the basis for a drawing or painting. By using photographs and photo collages in the studio, I feel I can develop compositions and orchestrate atmospheres that would otherwise be difficult to capture.   My current works are an exploration of many different moods and characteristics I have witnessed in the landscape, all tied together by my desire to investigate the visual phenomena behind the experiences. In this process, I endeavor to record and share my interpretation of the beauty we all recognize in the world around us."
